    My wife had a big ceramic bowl in the corner of the kitchen for bananas and such, so it got moved out

    nice replacement I think

    I agree. Any other "exotic" local woods used for turning? Use any black locust or mulberry? The guy ive given logs to for turning made a mulberry one for me to give as a gift. Havent seen any of his new stuff lately.

    I’ve tried:

    honey locust
    Mulberry
    Different maples
    Cherry
    Black and English walnut
    Beach

    and I have some basswood ones drying now

    but cherry and walnut are our favorite kinds to work with
