Took me a bit. About 60 seconds.
    I'm a bit slow.

As long as you can see the settling and dripping, you're heading in the right direction!

We had a splendid day Friday, warm air and lots of sun. Sat outside and had to come in to avoid a sunburn. Then Sat. came cold rain. Lots of it. I went out today. Took the dog for a short ride to Augusta. Had to go to Lowes because I was going stir crazy. While out I noticed a significant change. The snow is gone from the fields, the sidewalks are clear of snow and ice. The ice is all gone from my driveway. With more daylight and warmer temps, and the ice gone, I am feeling some optimism. We still have some snow banks and ice piles here ant there, but for the most part it is all gone.

Old railroad bridge. That section of railroad has been gone for 40 years anyway. I thought the “City” of Ogdensburg had received a grant to rehab the bridge to extend the walking trail over the river. Would be really nice if they did it. But have seen no progress. I’ll have to ask around and find out what’s going on with it. It will be an expensive undertaking, and the “City” doesn’t have the money.

I'm feeling a sense of accomplishment (though small) and determination to continue. I pushed myself physically both Friday and today. Feels like I'm walking around on 2 raw stumps but I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired and cannot afford another ounce of muscle loss, there's none left. Sausage fingers and feet I just pushed through. :dancer:

If you want to be wise guy Warner and complain about the term for a particular affliction sick people have please do it in private.

Good for you, Heidi, getting it done. You know I sympathize, having similar afflictions. Heal quickly.

It wasn't too long ago that walking up a flight of stairs I was huffing and puffing. I would not be able to stay in bed any longer as the back and sciatica was protesting too much so I would try to go for a walk. Shuffling feet with a bent over posture and having to turn around to head home after less than 300'.....winching in pain with every step! Glad I wasn't in a city....

Yeah, I appreciate what you are going through.

Helped a coworker install some HVAC ductwork after I loaded my truck firewood. Coworker had several oak and hickory trees knocked down to make a driveway to his new house site on the lake. IMG_20220320_200836884.jpg

Driveway is a bit steep. I cut a load of wood then used the added traction to pull the 2 logs up over bank behind the truck. This is the "flat" lay down area to work logs.

Yesterday a neighbor gave us 2 adult roosters.

IMG_20220319_185026213.jpg I had thought it would be good to get some chickens this spring/early summer but hadn't planned on this early. Another friend told me the red one is a Rhode Island Red . And the brownish one is part Americana. :handshake: ???
I have no idea. The big red one likes to pick on the smaller brown one so I separated them into 2 dog crates.
I wasn't ready to get chickens. But it would be good to keep these , I guess.
This afternoon I decided I needed some bedding for them so I end ripped some firekilled spruce in a sled and got a few gallons volume of sawdust. Put that in the kennels. The local feed store was closed . So I fed them some canned corn and rolled oats.
As it's not seriously cold. And the Red ( I named him Rooster) is 2 years old. The brown one I named Cogburn. :D
He is around a year old. So they have both been thru the hard part of winter. I think I will turn the bath house into a temporary coop. Another friend has some laying hens she will sell us and come break-up I can build a bit more of a proper chicken coop.
We already have 2 livestock guardian dogs . So they might as well have something to guard. At least I know what I will do with the sawdust from my mill now.

    BELIEVE GOD'S WORD

"Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:1-4

The only defense we have against the lies of the enemy is our faith in God's Word. When the devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness, our Lord responded to his lies with God's truth. When the enemy says we are rejected, we must believe we are accepted in the beloved (Ephesians 1:6). If he tells us we are defeated, we remember God always causes us to triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14) , and each time the devil declares we will fail, we believe we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). We are free from the bondage of the lies of the enemy by our faith in God's Word.

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32 KJV

QUESTION: Do you believe the Word of God in spite of what the enemy says and what you see?

PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to stand strong in the truth of your Word that I may always overcome the lies of the devil.

you and me also. If it was pain, I don't think I would have any feeling. Having a horrid time walking. Lucky to make it to the car with my cane. I need to force myself to use the cycling machine to see if I can get back some muscle tone. Even my butt hurts if I sit in one spot too long. I have been taking Tia Chi (seated) and that helps me relax and breath right.
The genocide going on has me in a constant state of upset. I was in a war zone once for a year and experienced the rockets nightly for a year except during the monsoons. It is more horrible than it looks on TV. I was a medic back then. You never can unsee those experiences. Anyhow, Heidi, feel better.
