First time I've had the saw running for a couple months. Could not do much but made a bunch of shorties. One offshoot of the GTG is we get lots of logs too long for our stove. Same with splits as the door and firebox is not that big so we have to make adjustments. The saw doesn't mind. Runs great. It works better than I do.

went out and fired up the splitter which had been gotten to by mother nature. 3 pulls and the old briggs fired up. needs a new control valve as this one is worn out. can't find a name on it just some numbers. not prince unit. this will be the 3 valve in 20+ years. I was just walking the land to see what the varmints were up to.

Are the shorties for shoulder season, pit wood or mixed during regular burning season? Great day here too. Lots of folks in shorts.

I am looking forward to getting out and start cutting and splitting. Frost hasn't gone out yet so the top of the ground is rather slippery. I want to get all my moms estate work done before the weather turns nice enough to get out and enjoy the woods.

If you cut them too short, they fit. You cut them too long they don't. Good to see you getting after it.

It looks like you had a nice day for running the saw. I'm hoping we get the rain they're calling for our area this weekend, that should open up the hills so I can make my first run back in.

My wood cutting goal will be the same this spring, 12 face cord and then do what I can over the summer.

Could be all of the above. Has to dry first though. Oak was cut at last year's GTG.

Blame it on the rain. I always hurt when it rains.
