Exactly what i was doing this afternoon with the cedar from my recent score. Ill box the kindling and sell next Winter. A few take kindling with their order. Ill bring a box or three on a new customer order and offer it to them. Storage room downstairs smelled real nice when i walked in. IMG_0543.JPG The chopping block is a cedar round. IMG_0545.JPG IMG_0550.JPG The shorts go in a repurposed feed bag. I cut 12 & 16" IMG_0548.JPG Never seen ants in cedar...first for me. IMG_0544.JPG

I love Cedar! We have Cedar trees here too. Nothing smells better than fresh Cedar splits. I like your organization as well. Those pics are satisfying to me.

  Me, organized? Thats funny. Its a disaster out there.
I decided to get it all done in one shot. I have other cedar around here that will become more. Ended up with five boxes, bundle of gnuglies and 2/3 bag of shorts. Limbwood works better as no knots. Same score where the mill logs came from. A few BIG logs there ill grab for more.

Thanks. For the record i only" full swing" to half a round, then i "tap" the axe into the wood against the chopping block to split it.

If the yuppie hipsters saw that, you could probably get $40 a small bundle, if it stopped there! :makeitrain"

Grabbed the rest of the big rounds at the score and split a couple. Lots of ant damage. Too bad as they'd make some gorgeous cookies. IMG_0692.JPG IMG_0694.JPG IMG_0693.JPG

Good stuff! I had a small red cedar tree that I processed into kindling a few years ago. Goes up like match sticks! Nice haul there Brad.
