I'm working on it , Not the firewood end of but yes, a "Milling and Sharpening Service" type of thing. The Mrs. thinks it is a great idea so no problem there. I am actually lucky to have her, she supports what I do and rarely breaks my chops. I spend a lot of time working my two jobs, outside in the garage working on stuff and cutting wood weather it is firewood or milling. It doesn't seem to bother her.
First I'll say this, my wife doesn't care how many I have even though she finds collection saws odd. Heck she bought me a new cheap saw yesterday for some experiments I'm planning. Anyway, my saw collection is broken up into two locations. Some are in plain sight on garage shelves. I call them the sacrificial saws if someone were to break in. Easy to grab and I wouldn't be heartbroken. The others, ported goodness / pro grade ect are completely hidden and out of reach. So much so that I grumble when I need yo use one. Lol
ha! She looked! And, she knows just exactly how many, what types even the bar lengths, probably the # of drivers! Don’t under estimate her! lol
Here’s another “hint” always have a old really long bar cover handy, walk in and say, “where did I put that saw”? She’ll say what saw,?your reply would be “the one I’ve had forever.” Your home free! lol
If all your financial responsibilities are good to go who cares about how many saws you own. I'd be more worried about keeping saws at the storage place. A LOT of worse things to get involved in. Tell her your looking for a little red sports car or a boat..... saws ? What saws ??
My GF and I have separate finances. Sure we share the "home costs", but after that we can spend our money however we see fit. She doesn't ask what things I buy, and vice versa. Keeps things simple... I like simple.
I got my own bathroom in the basement and i been disguising my new makita saw as a pile dirty laundry…she will never touch my laundry so i know im safe lol
More or less the same here. Weve been together 15 years. Although she wishes more of my extra income would be spent on her!
