I searched but didn't find a thread dedicated to holsters. I know people have talked about holsters in various threads, especially the handgun thread obviously, but figured I'd make one just for the subject.

What holster have you found that you like? Don't like, and why? That, to me, is just as important. Owb, iwb, paddle, belt clip, with or w/o claw, extra mag, rmr cut, light laser....etc etc the list goes on.... Brand, make/model, variations. Post em up...

Currently in the "market" for a good holster for an XD 4" .40. The random owb belt slide fabric with click strap just isn't suiting me these days. Not sure I will ever be comfortable iwb this gun, but something easier and more comfortable at least for owb.

Searching and searching...always find one that looks decent, and then a potential flaw. Just found the alien gear "shapeshift" system. Looks quite promising with several options, I like that...that's been one of my hangups with paying $75 +/- for a holster with only one option. Anyone w experience using a shapeshift?

I need to look at them for my wife. She’s never really seen anything that stands out and she really likes.

G26 Kydex Holster.jpg IWB , Kydex plastic for the G26 as my daily driver.
Seems to conceal it best for me going that way. Certainly nothing fancy but it works!

    Like this.

I do have a lot of other options both what and how , for some reason this works.
Kind of like my good ole" MS290 , it always seems to make it in the truck.
If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Good topic. My favorite holsters are Don Hume. I have 2 pistols that I alternate for my daily carry and they spend the vast majority of the time in a Don Hume IWB. The one I carry the most has been in the same holster since 2003. This M&P in its DH holster takes 2nd place for time spent out of the safe.

For OWB I've been happy with this Bravo Concealment rig. Good comfort. Good concealment.

This Phalanx Defense holster has turned out to be a favorite, and I generally don't like one size fits all holsters. One thing to note on these is that some pistol rails can get hung up on the draw. I only use it for pistols without rails.
