I ussually run TSC bar oil. I visited a new Stihl dealership the other day and picked up a gallon of BelRay branded bar oil for $12 on a whim. It's thinner and less stringy than the TSC. Probably save it for next winter when it get cold and the TSC turns to jello.

Bought two gallons last night along with a new tube and tire for a wheel barrow. They had two styles of jugs of bar oil. One was the standard jug of a horizontal handle across part of the top of the jug. The other handle was vertical, about half the height of the jug. First glance thought it bigger than one gallon but it the two jugs were one gallon each. Vertical handle seemed like it would pour easier and easier to see to pour so bought two of them.

Stopped at Orange Roof big box store this morning on my way to work and grabbed the last 4 gallons they had on the shelf; $10.75 a gallon if you buy 4 or more ; $13 change if under 4 gallons.
Figured I might just as well get the 4 and the discount , I will put it on the shelf and should be set for a while.

I ended up at TSC yesterday and bought 2 gallons of County Line brand bar oil for $11.99 each. Between that and what I already had on hand, I should be all set for the next couple years. That is, unless we have to resort to drinking bar oil in order to survive
Maybe we could mix the oil with sawdust to make pancakes? ;)

I thought it was the same amber color as 10w-40. It's been a while since I used that brand so I could be wrong though.

Lol, the saw I wanted was not for sale and he didn’t have the parts I needed, so I’m questioning the meaning of life. :(

I got a load of chestnut oak today, so I’ll have to struggle along with only 12 saws.

All petroleum based products will go up. If you watch this oldish episode of modern marvels it'll take some mystery out of it.

Menards, $8 per gallon with the 11% rebate. I buy all my logging and saw supplies there, cheapest I've found anywhere, even online.

I have not asked for an eta. He is turning out saws seemingly everyday if you watch his videos, so it’s getting closer.
