What type of pooch did you get?

About 40 now, had no fire last 2 days, so house was a little cool. Calling for snow tomorrow, wont stick around though.
Burning some very small limb wood of oak and cherry.

It did not get as low as expected again so the house got a bit warm overnight. Hope the snow melts.

It got colder than expected here.

I hesitate to ask, but just what is "a bit warm" in your house? :D

You keep it around 78, no?

Well, it did get a bit "warmer" than that.  Let's just say I could not use any blankets when I went to bed. Almost got up once to shower again.

So....if you say it's too warm, it must have really been hot!

Windy day here. Sun is shining bright and with the combination of both of them, the ice is getting shaken off the tree branches.

Wouldn't be any sleeping in my house if it was that hot ! Unless it was outdoors.
14 °F ambient temperature here this morning when I got up.
Winds east south east to 30 knots
    Fkws in the stove.
I feel worse today than I did yesterday. Didn't get a very good night's sleep.
    Practicing recliner therapy today.

i guess it got a bit warmer that one time.  I still laugh about that one. One guy couldn't get over it. Said he'd never saw a wood stove with no flame or sign of fire but roasting everyone. But now I do try to take it easy on the guys.

Thats chilly! We are supposed to drop a bit as well but not that low. -10c/14f right now. My wife and I both got home a short while ago from a long day. She beat me home by about half an hour and had a top down fire already blazing away.

Unfortunately, the leg of one Ohioan didn’t do anything to offset the 80° house temp…

32f in Northeast Pennsylvania. 1 to 3" of snow expected today. I am still burning through the elm I got in October of 2021. Mixing in some ash and maple. Also had to dig into the emergency reserves a couple weeks ago because my whole property was a glacier. ATV couldn't get into the back area, my property is a plethora of small hills and slopes. So that emergency stash was red oak and black birch. Surprised the red oak is at 17 percent MC. I want to clear out that rack so I can fill it back up with white oak I have yet to split from the fall.

Around 12°F ambient temperature here winds fairly calm.
Fire killed Black spruce and some smaller rounds of fire killed white Spruce in the stove
