Yes I am - but yeah, snow cover and frost depth makes that a bit difficult right now though :D

Started the last row of firewood this month. I will have to grab some from the pile outside after I dig it out. :picard:

As close as I can tell, it's around 6 cord once that row is gone.

I can get close to 5 cord in the wood room and then a couple smaller stacks on the basement patio which are almost used up.

Going to have to move up to a more efficient furnace........or move down to a warmer climate!

The advertised price of home heating oil in my location is 4.89 a gallon that is with the 150 gallon min order discount. Ouch!

I think I figured out why the dryer is making noise. Only took umpteen gazillion screws to get this far.

Been milking my machines along for some time .replaced bearings in both washer and dryer a couple times. Finally bit the bullet last week. Hopefully the “made in America” speed queen set up hold up to the hype. 553E7E21-48CE-4FD6-A6B4-3FB5FE4AB660.jpeg

Been dealing with that myself...not damaged wheels, but squealing...have tried several different types of lube now...have about worn out those gazillion screws, good news is that I'm sure I can beat flat rate on accessing these rollers!
It started squealing again a couple weeks ago and I told my wife just run it...maybe it'll quit squealing eventually! :picard:
I tried to look up what kind of grease to use and can find no consensus on it...seems like they didn't put any on from original...hard to believe it would go so long being quiet without grease though!? Shaft's and bushings are not worn...rubber wheel is fine...I don't think new rollers will do me any good...just frustrating.

When I bought this place, I inherited a kenmore washer that makes knocking sounds when it is washing only. Everything else seems to work fine and clothes come out clean, so the agitator must be working.

    But annoying.

Tonight heating oil went up to $5.11 a gallon here. This morning High Test gas was $4.99.9 a gallon. Highest prices I’ve ever seen. Older folks on a fixed income are going to have a tough time if it is like this next winter. Commuters driving vehicles are having a tough time every day now.
