    Even after almost 10 years it's bizarre living somewhere without local news. It looks like we're getting a spring snow, I had no idea, had looked the forecast up for something else later in the week.

    A beautiful day today. I finally got a chance to get out on a sled with some friends. They have many sleds and I was fortunate to use a 13 Polaris Indy 600. (Back one.)

    It was a beautiful day. Tinkered a bit with the wood stacks, but had to run to the next county to meet hopeful voters in the middle of the day.

    tomorrow I am alone, so I hope to get out and cut some wood.

    A friend of ours that grew up with my wife sent me this picture today. This is Gerald Pelletier (the company American Loggers was based on) or at least one of his trucks around 1980 give or take. His uncle drove for them around then. You don’t see many of these loads anymore since the mills closed as they have to go over pavement nowadays unless hauling straight into Canada. That’s mount Katahdin in the background.
