    Well I'm in.
Picked it up yesterday afternoon. My only complaint is that it has the green safety chain on it and the dealer did not have the RS chain in stock for it , I have really taken a liking to those chains.
He has a replacement chain coming for beginning of the week so he will swap it out for me. He also threw in the outside dog for the cover side and a free Stihl winter hat. Gave me a good price and was able to save me a decent amount over what other dealer here in town was asking that would not budge on the price.
If I get a chance I will see if I can get a picture , but like they say if you have seen one you have seen them all.

I’ll never get tired of seeing pics of the same saw. I want to see it with double spikes and side by side with Brads. A cutting comparison between yours and Brad’s with pics. A family portrait with the new saw…….

Congrats my friend. Our next cutting excursion should be both firsts with our 400's. I didnt take it today as i did not wanna risk making a racket in a quiet neighborhood.

Hey if you are making power who cares about fuel mileage.
More air / more fuel = more power. That in my book is a winner!

How is throttle response compared to other saws and 500? Do you like it, or buyers remorse? Do you like the wrap handle?

Wrap handles look cool if nothing else. I personally just like them. Might not need it that often but still a fan of them.
Hope that everything is a plus , mine is on the bench waiting for a thrashing. Weather is setting me back.

Because of the bark box i dont think its a fair comp. I am pleased with the saw. The gas consumption surprised me. Keep it mind it was full throttle in a long cut. Once you run a 500i, its hard to compare it to anything...right buzz-saw ?

As buzzsaw stated the wrap handle looks cool and i'll it keep it in mind for felling purposes. It kinda made it awkward to fill up laying the saw on its side vs. non wrap. First time ever having one and i guess time will tell my thoughts of it. All in all not a bad thing to have a saw with one.

    Love the 500i !!
Only a couple tanks through it and sure it will wake up after a few more. The throttle response is like no other saw I have used.
I wish there were a couple other versions like this to fill the gap. Just have to wait and see.

Makes sense. The saw does drink gas. Luckily most of my cutting sessions are less than two tank fulls,

Mine is on the way, so I should find out soon.
Most of my cutting sessions don’t require fill ups. I could cut more, but I stop when I have a few days of splitting cut and I won’t cut more until it’s all stacked.

People buying stuff they don't need with government money all while not working... then realizing they need money and should probably get to work...

I should follow the same routine, but the score is where the fun is. Plus wooding combined with work my time/energy is limited and storage is not here. Guessing i have 9 cords of rounds to SS as of now. Should just take a week and do it rather than nibbling away as its mostly hydro now.
