Replacing rotting rubber pieces. There’s a smorgasbord of different bolts on this. Hex, torx and flat. Discovering more bad plastic stuff. I thought I had everything I needed

Oem filter hopefully these are easier on than china filters

50x easier wow I’ll never use a china filter again

The tank was easy to get off and back on. I didn’t have to remove the throttle, or choke linkage or any of the intake to replace the fuel line so that was easy. The collar seal was in 2 pieces, so gotta get that and start looking for a tank.

 

Looks like a couple tanks for sale on eBay tonight

 

Thanks, I’ll probably check the salvage trailer at the place where I bought it to see if I can get a parts saw.

Looks like a great project ! I replaced all the rubber parts on a couple Husqvarna 257's. Very satisfying! Keep up the good work !

 

Fresh collar seal. This was by far the easiest Husqvarna intake to reinstall. The collar seal held the intake block snuggly in place, so I just had to place the carb and plastic intake in front and slide in the bolts, or maybe I’ve done so many now it’s second nature.

Does anyone know what the little horn on the right side of the collar is for?
