So knowing freezing rain was predicted for last night I grabbed two bags of rock salt. Threw the in bed of truck left it there. Get up this morning and tailgate is froze shut. So now icy driveway and salt is frozen. Can't get into bed because of tonneau cover. Can get into cab though. And I don't have access to a garage or barn.

Morning .2" of ice then followed by freezing rain, sleet apx 2" + drifting and last night another 2" of fluff + some drifting . Its going to be a long weekend and a lot of salt to get this mess cleaned up. Temps to rise into high 20's but a lot of wind. Not a lot I can do yet as I am layed up from surgery yet. My tracter has turf tires in the back so it might not be much help. Blower just rides over top. course i am not supposed to be jacking equipment around either, do not want rip stiches out and have to visit the practioners of the black arts again- $$$. =+
I woke to a bunch of ice too. Had to move a vehicle that was covered and it was a chore just to get the door open. C'mon spring!
Went Sunday around 11 am to attck soe of the mess, first up move truck so I could get tractor out. Yup moved truck as I was gettin out after moving slip-bummpy bump ice by door of truck went down hard got the running board in the rip cage among a few other dings ended up in Neighbors yard 10 ft from truck. I am I hurting today certain movements are very nasty. Good news I didn't rip any stiches out (thankfully) using the tractor bucket got a lot of the mess cleaned off . Some areas will require chemical attack like all the way along the garage doors- gutters froze full of ice due to wind chill, Sun not with standing. It is going to be above freezing in our yoyo temp swings so the problem will allieviate itself in a couple days.
