Been slowly working on cleaning up a downed Burr oak, but have been slacking on taking photos. Had a shorter day at work, Got off work around 2 today. So got some cutting done, my 2071 needs the chain sharpened and didn't grab the 372XP so just had the husky 55 with me today.
I hardly use that much any more, I forgot how much lighter that saw is! Was my main saw for years but after I got the 2071 and 372xp it mostly just rides in the truck and not used.

It's a 1997 husky 55, can't even tell you how much wood that saw has cut, was my dad's main saw for years then I got it and it was my main saw for years, she still runs like a dream, the husky dealer when in for it's tune up was surprised when he scoped the cylinder how good it looked for never being rebuilt.

Got 2 more limbs and the big section of the trunk, forgot to grab the isocore today so when I started getting to the 20" plus rounds I quit cutting, them suckers are to heavy to toss in the truck whole :BrianK:

    Almost got it cleaned up!

    What I started with.

Nice work there RNC! Small saws have their place in the arsenal. Big saws nice under a controlled cut (log deck, off tractor forks etc).

I love my little saws...top handles too. Why schlep a bigger saw through a mess to limb and buck smaller logs. I was running my 201 rear handle the other day and forgot how much i like it I actually cut off an 18" cedar stump with it wearing a 14" bar.

Looks like a win/win. You got primo wood and the farmer got his field cleaned up. Jealous over the easy access there. All my hoarding is done either on a rocky mountainside or a brushy swamp.

    I've got a small one.
If you know how to use it , gentle and take your time you can make yourself really happy when you are done.

Most of mine use to be hand sleded out of the woods, so being able to pull right up is a very welcome change.

I always am, the misses on the other hand... Wait what were you talking about?   ...:zip:

That's the plan! I have been procrastinating on it for way to long this winter,. I also have to drop the one right next to it and that one is bigger and the boss added a 3ed one in to drop in that field. Then come this spring he is going to have the stumps dug out so we won't have to go around them any more. And I get the wood so it's a win, win, win. But a lot of work!

You had a small one but didn't like it.
I don't mind a small one for a quick job. It has it's place.

I have a Husky 55. They are good saws. I have taken it on occasion to the mountains and used it for limbing.

Oh the 170. Yeah the only Stihl i can ever bad mouth. Issues hot starting. Had to leave it running after that. Then had carbon issues in the muffler from doing such. My 201 rear handle took its place and Eric Wanderweg now owns it.

I like using the ms170 I won. It's light and as long as you don't try to cut anything too big, it cuts quickly too.

It worked problem free til that hot August day and i was in no mood to have a problematic saw. They fixed the carbon issue free even though warranty didnt cover it. Once i got used to it i did like it. I bucked this maple on a tank of gas minus maybe three big rounds. IMG_3001.JPG IMG_3003.JPG

That 4910 is the lightest 50 cc saw out there
