If we had taken this picture one hour ago, we were covered in Fog. I know - no picture it didn't happen!

Cool pics Allan. If that had been me, I'd have taken out every dock and boat in sight... in slow motion...

I especially like that first picture Allan. Also, quite naturally I like the log tow.

The tow would equal about 700 highway logging truck loads or about 35000 Atv's to drag on dry land! The tug had just under 1,400 HP!

Awesome view. I have seen a few cruise ship stories in the news now and then lately. Usually seems to include a whole lot of people getting sick. No thanks. They look good from your house though! And much cheaper checking them out from here.

We are considering a Coastal cruise some day. But are thinking instead of the big cruise ship of going Alaska State Ferries. It is more of a milk type run and stays inside on the true Inside Passage with lots of interesting stops. We do not need casinos or floor shows to be happy!

With a recreational background in flying and sailing, Woodwidow and myself very much enjoy the phenomena of weather. This morning we awoke to the sound of heavy rain.
    100_2443.JPG
Shortly after we got up, it had quit raining and the sky really brightened up.
    100_2444.JPG
This scene lasted for about 20 minutes.
    100_2450.JPG
Then the rain returned. I think the flash picked up on the raindrops. 100_2452.JPG
I'm wondering if we just did experience seeing the center of the storm?

I thought I would bring this thread to life because the view from the living room window this evening was awesome. I just wish I could capture it properly with a camera. I was using my phone this time. We had a sunny warm day and the first sailboat of the season anchored out at dinner time. The sailing breeze we had this morning died off and it was flat calm out there. We had clothes out on the clothes line and most of it dried and didn't need to be hung inside over night. Unreal temps after the last month.

Yesterday as we sat and watched the scenery, the sun was shining off the mountains on the mainland. I hope these pictures give some idea of how nice it looked.

Today was even better but I was watching Women's World gold medal match and didn't take any pictures. We are getting an incredible run of nice weather right now. It will be hard to go back to work tomorrow.
