It was a log off my buddy’s pile. Split like a dream. Split in on the splitter, but it seemed to be as easy as cherry or a knot less piece of red oak. Definitely looking for more!

Split the rest of my dead black locust rounds i had on hand late yesterday. No snow on the ground, but the yard at storage is starting to look like "no man's land"mudhole.

I love splitting wood outdoors. Not to derail but do any off you guys have a hard time keeping your hands dry/ warm? I must have froze my fingers a time or two to many when I was younger. Now that’s the only thing that ruins my fun outside in the winter. After a bit outside it feels like someone is hitting my fingertips with a small ball pein hammer. Any gloves that are halfway warm seem to bulky to work in. Mittens keep my fingers warmest but their again I have dexterity issues. I’m sure I can’t be the only one with this issue can I? Thanks :)

I do most of my splitting in the spring and fall and only on nice days. I only burn firewood during the winter, not doing any CSS when it is cold.

I dont process wood that often in the snow. I do it to stay active as my work is on hold with cold and snow. Nothing fancy glove wise. Generic winter $3/pair orange gloves with latex palms/fingers. I buy in bulk and will rotate when wet.
