Went down today to where I cut the tree up Saturday to tidy things up. Branches and junk stuff. Looks like the wind Sunday night made some more work for me. At least 4 maybe 5 more ash trees down.

Not surprised at all. I think most in our area are almost to that point. Oh and they should make your Still saws cut fast like a Husky. :):emb:

I thought there would be a few here but they're all still standing.

The first one I started cutting stihl had some green steaks in it but all the stumps look dead. I'll be cutting the stumps off this morning to drag them out tp lrvel grounf. The one from Saturday was jus a bit punky the first couple of rounds from the stump. That made the Stihls cut faster than a Husky.

When I talked to the landowner about cutting these ash he mentioned he had a couple of dead trees along his one field if I wanted them. DUH!! He showed me which ones Saturday and I headed down this morning while it's frozen. About 4 large dead oaks and more ash. Wanted to take my dump trailer but found a few soft spots yet. Got 2 down but gonna wait for a spotter for the big.

farmer steve, your dump trailer won't hook onto your tractor? Then you could unhook and load the trailer with big rounds using the bucket not your back (yeah, I'm lazy).

That was my intention. First trip down with the tractor and found a couple of soft spots. Thought the trailer loaded might sink in with the skinny tires on it. It's about a 5 minute drive on the tractors not to bad. 7 buckets so far. And have split three up.

Pretty snazzy, color coded tractor and gloves. My grandsons would love Batman gloves!
