Anyone have a source or recommendation for large wood shed plans? I am just thinking about a simple large shed with just a gravel/stone floor and no sides or just a couple slatted boards for sides. Holding lots of wood and some other junk so maybe 8x 20? 10x20? I am not talented or experienced at building stuff so was trying to find some plans to follow. The plans I have seen were 80-130 bucks!!!

Those are helpful, exactly what I have in mind. Just not sure what size and length posts and then exactly how to do the roof. Winging it never seems to work out for me….

You don’t need someone else’s plans. Just come up with your own. If you want ideas google woodshed images. Lots of ideas there.

    These plans call for 12’ x 3.5’. I used these plans, but made mine 16’ x 5’. A6AEF29B-A2C1-4077-BEC2-6C4903B87C75.jpeg 97194620-2C99-4DC4-91A9-2D7AFE75E5BF.jpeg 226F33BB-9F07-453F-B4F9-0B76AF3CA47A.jpeg

I built this Fall of 2019 out of discounted/cull/reclaimed materials for a friend. 4'x 36' High enough off the ground to ease the back. 6'6" to bottom of beam for head clearance. 3' clearance in back for mowing and access to rotate wood. Here's the thread for the build.

When I was a kid we still had a corn crib on the property. Something like this with slanted walls to keep driving rain off. If I were to build one I’d do something like this, just because, nostalgia.

Don't have plans, as I've built many things before. The easiest and cheapest way to build a wood shed is with pallets.
    This shed is 11x15x8. Floor is 2 equipment skids, 7.5x11. Base is 4" cap block and 4x4x15 0525202137.jpg 0526201929.jpg 0527202213.jpg 0528202238a_HDR.jpg
We spaced the boards evenly and then added 2x6x16 to finish floor 0529201956.jpg
Set post about 4' apart on sides 0608200859_HDR.jpg
Used 2x6's spaced to fit notches on pallets 0609201248.jpg 0609201618.jpg 0619201322.jpg
Used 2x8x16 across shed to hold rafters 0629201252.jpg
Joists, rafters and 1x4 purloins in place 0703201244_HDR.jpg
We named it the calico shed... ...
Roof is left over panels and screws from other jobs we have done. Briwn and green panels with blue screws 0703201240.jpg
Added some short panels around the outside bottom, keeps rain splash off pallets. 0706201151.jpg
    Finished shed 0705200738_HDR.jpg

There is a fellow hoarder that did one and shared his whole process as he went along. In fact his is 2nd to last in the pictures I shared with the small lean to with the riding mower under it. I swore I PM'd him at some point to ask him a question but I can't seem to find it, his screen name or his thread. If I do I will surely post, it was helpful.

I hear you on winging it, depends on the kind of person you are. I am not patient, unless something has to be absolutely precise or I haven't a clue what am doing I'll follow plans. But for a wood shed like this just holding firewood and couple of other things I knew I had lots of room for error. It didn't need to be perfect and as anal as I am on certain things I've learned to let go on some things not being 100% perfect especially something like this out back. Just knowing I did that alone is a pretty dam good feeling.

I plan on putting sliding barn doors on the middle 10ft wide bay so I can lock it.

Here's my 10'x20' shed roof build... starting with layout of the roof angle...

12" OC 2x3 boards (not strapping) across 2x4 rafters 16" OC. Double 2x6 carriers front and rear (install 2nd carrier, front & rear, after roof is done... easier) Screw down metal roofing. It'll come to you in 3' wide sections that overlap... at the length you order. I added an inch overlap front and rear. I used a lot of screws to prevent wind rip off... though now that I look at it, the weight of the screws alone might have been enough... :picard::D

I am using an old portable 6'x10' Turkey coop. 2x4 stud walls with 2x4 fencing inside. Set it on pallets and stack it to the ceiling. I figure when it rots out, I will use the steel roof and build another in 5-10 years
