Got home from work, started my pork ribs on the grill, got my truck washed in the driveway, brought up a gorilla cart full of firewood, cleaned the stove out, and had Hayden outside to play fetch. After today's work, that flurry of energy was all I had today.

 

Beautiful sunset the other night

 

This however, is not so good.

 

Began the day with no hot water for showers. And little to no heat. Frustrating and ……………. Well, I’m no HVAC guy, that’s for sure. Did some trouble shooting using thermostats, and breakers. After several hours I figured out the relay switch for the main circulation pump had an electrical problem. I checked all the connections and they were clean and solid. Some kind of short in circuit board or something. I don’t know. I could move the shielded wire coming from the circulation pump and cause it to turn on and work. So I drew an electrical diagram before I unhooked it and then I replaced the relay switch with a new one. Taco. About a $100 with tax. Back in business. Luckily for me I am on a day off from the real job. I need a friggin nap.

And now our power went out all over the area. WTH is next?

Fired up the generator to keep well pump, Wood Gun, and circulation pumps running.

This ship was 35 minutes late this morning, presumably due to the weather. I got soaked waiting for her and just when I unhappily gave up and started to drive off (as I had to get to work) I saw her come out of the fog. I backed right up into the parking spot and hopped out without my jacket on. 5 minutes later, she was in the harbor and I had to bid farewell and made it to work with 5 minutes to spare.

For a minute I was feeling deja vu, one day before I waited for the same ship for a long time in a cold winter storm.....i didn't have to work, but it was a long time and I gave up. Made it to the other end of the harbor and seen her coming through the narrows as I drove away. I had some choice words that day.

worth it.

 

Interestingly enough, my wife lost a diamond earring from her ear tonight. She was outside with the pup, and went on her 5 mile walk today. She figured it was gone. I turned on my phone's flashlight, and it was on the rug, 2 feet away. She's had these for a long time and was pizzed she lost one.

Good thing I found it almost as soon as she realized she had lost it.
