Hi all, I am finding myself in need of a new agitator for the Enviro M55 and came across pellet stove parts 4 less. Wanted to see if anyone had experience with them and if they’re legit? The pricing is right and I’ll actually pick up a flame guard if the Site is recommended. Agitator is listed at $90. Thanks as always!
I've purchased from them in the past but I have also heard the drives they sell are cheapo Chineseum and don't last. Really no issue and they ship promptly.
I should start making pellet stove parts like agitators and burn pots and stuff. Have the tools and knowledge, just lack the motivation.
I have used them many times, never a problem. Just be aware of ordering aftermarket parts or original parts.
Thanks, the 90 part is after market. I’m sure it won’t last me 7years like the other, but hopefully I’ll get a few seasons out of it.
Ive used this site this year with good results and got a new OEM Harman control board as well as a few aftermarket parts for much cheaper than parts4less. Just be aware that the free shipping uses UPS/USPS method so it will take 4-5 days to get to Maine. Earth Sense Energy SystemsStove Parts | Earth Sense Energy Systems (pellethead.com)
I am almost in need of a new one, So keep us posted if you do try one. I also saw them at Mountain View Hearth and earthsense(see links). Enviro, Regency & Vistaflame SS Agitator w/ Coupler (16-5000) Enviro, Vistaflame, Regency Agitator with Coupler, 50-1697 I have the motivation, Just lacking the tools right now. I made a couple out of 316SS but didn't last much longer then the oem cast versions. Was going to do Inconel on the next trials, But life changed. Took early retirement due to health, Lost the use of shop tools. Bought a house with a garage. Hope to have my own tools in the future.
Curious as to how you all go through agitators (stirrers) in as much as I don't, but I do change them out when I change burn pots when I clean the stove. I have no less than 4 here and all of them are not degrading at all. Looking at metallurgy and oxidation, I believe you are introducing too much oxygen to the fire bed which in turn causes the stirrer/ agitators to oxidize away. Something I don't do. I carefully regulate the oxygen to the fire bed so I have a productive fire without excessing oxygen. Maybe you cannot but I can and do. The stirrers are much cheaper on Flea Bay than anywhere else from what I see. Don't need any however. I did fab myself a couple burn pots from hot rolled sheet instead of stainless and they are holding up just fine.
I am still on my original stirrer from 2014/2015. I have noticed this year some reduced clearing of the ash so time to get one….I consistently put 5 ton through a year in Maine winters so I don’t think I did too bad. Will need a new flame guard this year too, but burn pot is still in great shape.
I'm on my 5th agitator since 2009. OEM burnpot liner and flame guard. Oak pellets are the roughest on the agitator IMHO. The year I burned Thurmans 100% I just about killed the cast agitator in one season. I always set the damper to factory specs with a mag. Usually to the lowest side of the spec to not blow heat out the vent.
I noticed the agitator is getting a bit thin on our stove, specifically on the hot side. I remove it for the weekly stove cleaning. I’ll get a pic next time.
Adding another +1 for Earth Sense Energy - nice folks: fast shipping, always a pleasure ordering product from them.
