Guess I need to crack a window. Temps went up today and I tried to burn slow.

We got another 10" of snow between last night and today. -8 degrees right now. It will probably get to negative double digits tonight.
Currently burning Doug Fir and Lodgepole Pine in the Oslo. 76 degrees inside.

Me, plowing the driveway this afternoon at -6. It's my best Cold Trigger Finger impression. -6 is a tropical vacation for our Alaska boys.

Freezing rain for past few hours. Stuffed the boiler so I don’t have to tend it first thing. 28f now and temperature dropping during the day tomorrow. Hit the Harbor Freight for new tarps yesterday. Great thing is, a good liquor store is beside it. Ice storm is more tolerable with some single barrel to sip.

Winter is here. Finally. We got actual measurable precipitation in the form of snow. Inches of snow. Not 0.x inches but x inches (proof below). Woke up to a couple inches and it snowed a couple more inches by evening. Took a picture at midday. It is the first real moisture we've had in about 3 months.
I find it a bit ironic that it happened on Ground Hog's Day. Glad the official critter went back in his hole. We can use a few more weeks of this.

41 and raining. Finally on the right side of the jet stream. Burning oak as usual. Had to turn on the heat pump last week for the first time and hopefully the last.
There’s been a fertilizer plant burning near work all week, so been breathing smoke off and on. I can feel my lungs growing.

-5* here this morning. I’ll burn some pine until I get ready to leave for work. Then I’ll load it up with elm.

21 with a heavy north wind at about 20 MPH. Snow is dumping. I think this is the high for the day.

I have the heat in the garage cranked up to dry out the kids' snow clothes...and with the wind blowing the way it is the boiler is going to have to put in some work today.

16 and 72. Red oak burning. Looks like it’s going to snow all day. Little bit of drifting going on.
