That is a long time to be restricted to such a small room. When I was stuck in the hospital, it was much larger with a really good view. But I have to tell you I was so sick, I didn't care what the view was. No interest in TV, phone or much of anything else then. No visitors allowed either. I can't imagine you shut in that long.
We are having a blizzard here now. The blizzard warning has been issued thru tomorrow AM Right now, I can't see very far out the window. The snow is coming down almost sideways.
My son has the plow on his truck. I am sure he'll keep ahead of it. We have been buried in here before from big storms. When you live on a dead end street on a steep hill, you end up low priority for plowing. Haven't had a storm this bad for years. The wind is terrible. 9 degrees F here now.

Beautiful picture of Bay de Verde, NL taken by a local man with his drone.

We have 2 inches of rain coming, white stuff won't be long going.

Struck out in the snow and cut up an oak tree top, fund some nice maple logs from a tree top, of a slope. Cut most of it into rounds that I will haul out at first light.

pot roast cooking all day. Time to watch the sunset, and enjoy the warmth of the house.

Did you have to be committed? Didn't you have a choice in the matter?

Are the walls of the room covered with mattresses or rubber? :wacky: :D

Took Riley out for his relief time. We are having a blizzard. He made sure he could see me before his darted off to his "spot" then right back to the door. So far it seem like one he!! of a storm, The prediction for tomorrow is sun, but still windy and bone chilling cold. Hard to tell how much snow we have received so far. With the wind blowing so hard there doesn't seem to be any two spots alike in depth. I was a little cool before I took Riley out, but when I came back in, I warmed up real fast. Stove is running well. Just loaded it up.

It would seem there should be a way to select the area you want, but I've never used that so can't say for sure.

I was talking on the phone to mat60 yesterday and that storm sounded like one you for sure would want to not be outdoors! Lots of wind but here the wind was calm. Big contrast.

Caffeine is in. Looking for my ski goggles then headed out to blow powder snow in the wind and single digit temp! Fun!
Winter has finally showed up in New England.

0 degrees here in Southern Vermont.
Yesterday was a day that didn’t involve much more than bringing wood in, tending the wood stove in the living room and riding my recliner. The wind chill made it brutal.
Today feeling guilty so I headed out to the shop. Been a week(I was out of town) so it had gotten cold in there.[IMG]

Lit off the woodchuck and walked outside for some beauty shots and get the Kubota started. It wasn’t having any of that. Back to the shop for the jump starter.
    Then the beauty shots.

Looks like the Woodchuck is waking up.[IMG]

Yep, stuff her to the brim with some 2 year old seasoned “good stuff”. [IMG]

Now to decide whether to clean up some of this mess,
    [IMG]

Or go for a “ride around the kingdom” on the tractor.

First will be sitting here on the shop stool with my coffee and keeping a careful eye on that Woodchuck for a bit.
It could go out! Or I could doze off….

    To all, a good day.
