    Just pan fried up a deer heart for the first time. Pretty dang good. I've never eaten it in the almost 30years I've been hunting. I won't be leaving them in the woods or giving them to friends anymore :thumbs:.

    So is there anything else? Looks like red sauce and sausage or something too. I want to make those. Perfect to feed the platoon.

    No laughing here. The only addition I could see for an improvement would be a light coating of toasted shredded cheddar on the top of those. I’m gonna make those. They look good.

    We always eat the heart right after the kill, cast iron pan some onion salt and pepper. Yum! The liver on the other hand gets left in the woods!

    One done the other is still stalling out at 170…:whistle:…. So I went & bumped the temperature to 250 & wrapped… split a stick of butter & stuck it in there too…
