I think you'll like the 330 gallon totes. I stack the splits somewhat neatly and then load the tote with my skid steer into the back of the truck for delivery. I do cut the opening a little bigger to easily reach in and even step inside to make unloading easier. This is MUCH quicker than loading a truck by hand!

We don't have that many totes...only have 8 or 9...
We're using those for wood we will burn or probably chunk storage...

We got the trailer load finished this morning. Even got the 2 elm rounds split and loaded. 0127221034_HDR.jpg
    0127221034a_HDR.jpg
Then we got a tote full of chunks from the cutoffs. We took it over to my cousin's house. Set it by his back steps 0127221046.jpg
We have 3 loads going out today.
Mixed load of smoker wood...cherry, pecan and hickory...first thing this morning.
    Then deliver the trailer load...
About 4:00 new customer is coming over. He burns an open fireplace, probably going to get some of the long DRY (5-6 yrs)oak and tulip poplar from the shop, then maybe some 1 yr old hickory limbs, hope to add a little oak from this last score, too.

How many cords do you sell each year? All FHC seasoned?

Nice looking splits you have there!

Thanks, brother. This has been our biggest year, so far. I think 24 cords of firewood since early May, probably a couple cords of cooking woods.
Some has been seasoned, some not so much. We are honest and tell them so. Our summers do dry it out faster...

Load we had to cut Saturday. 14" splits, mostly hickory and 4 rounds of oak split across the back. Front row is 7 yr old oak we cut down to about 12"... 0129221710_HDR.jpg

Customers living within your delivery area are very lucky indeed!

I've never seen such good looking firewood for sale where I live.

This is what I cut in half. Had some tulip poplar mixed in. Some of the oak had punky sapwood. We kept 5 buckets of leftovers. I knew they needed some dry wood to get the hickory going and the oak on the back needs to dry some more. They have a young daughter too.
Didn't take long with the jig and top handle Echo to handle it... 0129221028a_HDR.jpg

Got 3 more logs bucked and staged, but didn't get a :ithappened:......
Had a few days off this week, so we loaded up the:tractor:and headed back to the honey hole. We found plenty to :saw::axe::stacker:...

1st load was mixed, ash, hickory, oak and tulip poplar 0216221232.jpg 0216221232_HDR.jpg 2nd load was all oak from the trees he had thinned. 0216221730_HDR.jpg 0216221813_HDR.jpg
3rd load we finished cleaning up the thinned trees he had down and added a couple white oak logs we found.
    0217221216.jpg 0217221258.jpg

    And these 0218221742.jpg
4th load was 1 hickory log, several ash logs and white and red oak. 0217221549.jpg 0217221630~2.jpg
The big oak on top was 17' long, 'Bota handled 8.5' nicely... 20215.jpeg

Some nice Goldilocks wood there. Must be a welcomed relief from all those mammoth rounds you process. Hoard on and cut safe my friend!
