Caffeine! Downing a can of Mountain Dew at 6AM. Ran out of my normal morning drink and no place around has it. :picard:Anywho, a little later I have to make a run to the store and get prepared for three kids Birthday parties. Brace yourself. My twins are 18 already. o_OAnd my youngest is 15 in two days. :faint:My oldest is now 30 and is a Mother to my new little buddy. WHO’s is 1 already! Wait! What? It was just yesterday when …….

You hoarders have a good day. And stay safe.

To keep Grampy warm and safe. Unfortunately he lives in South Carolina. His parents like the warmer weather. Smart. But it’s too warm for me 6 months of the year down there. So, I guess instead of moving there, I’ll probably become a snowbird. I think after I retire I’ll spend 4 months down there December through March. We’ll see.

It's a old looking sheet of paper listing alternatives to curse words, for example, one is Shucks and another Dad Gummit.

Good. But here it is unusually cold. worse in 13 years. I have been out three times with the dog since noon. Each time, he runs, does his thing, and then right back in the house. I stay out with him, never leaving him out alone. He has gone out of sight a couple times but is right back as soon as I call out for him. We are going to get hit hard this weekend with a nor'easter. predictions are for about a foot of snow, but who really knows. With the wind, it is near impossible to know how much snow we get. This is predicted to be the light and fluffy stuff. No since even trying to move it until the wind stops. My kids have snow mobiles and are looking forward to having a decent snow base. We live next to a very long trail. that is when the snow is good.

As I lay here waiting to leave, beautiful New Hampshire, one of the prettiest states in the union, this is my view… yes a dumpster:picard: E29B504C-A9DE-42C3-9E76-C3DE442814D6.jpeg

It wasn't long ago when I first noticed it also. He spends a good deal of time on here, and I think he was willing to take it on. So good for him and us for what the moderators do. Some still have the moderator title, but haven't been here for months. I knew him from another site and now here. He sticks to it.

I remember my maternal grandmother saying dad gummit or dad nabbit when she was really vexed. That was the closest she got to cussing that I ever heard.

My mother uses horse feathers quite a bit still, I still use some of those like Jeeze Louise (which is funny since that was my maternal grandmother's name - Louise, not Jeeze ;)).

It's a heat wave this morning at 18* - that is 30* over what it was yesterday morning. Although we have had a couple of mornings at -12*, and a couple of days where the high was 9 or 10*, this is still a mild winter temp wise for around here. Plenty of winters we have been in negative low teens (seems weird to say Low teens when talking about -18* - but that is technically correct) and highs in the lower single digits for 2 or 3 weeks without breaks.
