Did they ever put cast iron draft control knobs on Fisher stoves? My grandpa bear has cast aluminum with a steel threaded insert. The issue is when running around 500 at the stove top the draft control knobs get hot and loosen up on the threaded insert. Causing the knobs to become loose and not seal up properly.
I thought the draft knobs were cast iron on my insert. I used a magnet and found out they are made of non ferrous metal. They look different than yours as they have 5 flutes as opposed to your 4. I’m not sure what metal fisher used but if WeldrDave is out there he may chime in because I don’t know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not to my knowledge or I have seen. They would get to hot as I would figure and cast Iron would expand considerably.
