I know this has been posted probably numerous times but what’s everyone ideal house temp at your home? I’m my stove room I typically run around 74 to 77 degrees, with the rest of the house staying around 70 to 73 degrees. When everyone leaves the room we’re my stove is located they complain about how cold it is in the rest of the house. Hard to please this bunch. Nothing like wood heat in my book. Just wanted to post and get you guys talking about it.

The best house temp is the temp where heating or cooling if not needed.

The target temp this time of year, is 70⁰ in the living room where the woodstove is located. The rest of the house is what it is. ~63⁰ in the far bedroom. Works for us.

75 during cold season. Any lower and the wife starts wearing blankets on the couch.

I'd love to be able to keep the house near 70, but I'm lucky to keep the main room at 60.

70-72* where woodstove is, which is our living room. Our kitchen is always cool. A lot of the heat gets sucked up the spiral stair case opening before it goes through the doorway.
Our upstairs is usually 67 or so and holds the warmth, except the back bedroom which is an addition. Its cold. Even if the furnace is running, its cold. We have a heater in that room. I dont mind sleeping in a cold room. Grew up with a room like that.

Living in an old, drafty farm house is a way of life. You just deal with cold parts of the house. I dont worry about room temps. My kids have fans running and its 18* out.

Down stairs where the stove is, 72° to 80°, upstairs 70° to 75°. The farthest bedroom will be 68°.

72 is good for the day. Night time, I let the fire go out and LP is set at 65 to take over....usually just before I roll out.

For us, 74-75 feels right. Cooler in the bedrooms.

I'm happiest at 70-72 inside temp. But firing both stoves the past week or so, it likes to climb up to the mid 80s and that's just no bueno to me....

70 would be too much for me in the shop...I keep the shop tstat at 62 at work...and even that is enough to get me overheated if I'm really gettin after something. 70 is fine in the office though...not sure the exact temp in mine, its just has an electric baseboard with a <colder-hotter> dial...I just found the happy spot and leave it there.
