True story: When I went looking around for a new wood forum, I just googled "Backwoods Savage". (Yes, I was aware of his disappearance).
So far, so good, I suppose.

I found FHC from googling "message boards pellet stove" if that helps in anyway. It was not #1 but not too far down if I remember either!

Thanks all. Guess I should put a little in my signature. Maybe I'll even make an avatar someday. (BTW I don't have a "gender" I have a sex. You can ask a doctor.)

Right where I want to be.
I probably already posted in this thread, but I don't remember........so......
This has to be the most friendly forum I've found, and I'm a member on quite a few. I just don't go to most of them much.
    Probably because I'm always here.:)
    I don't do politics.......makes me angry. I don't like being angry.
    Life's too short for that.

It took me about a month to find this place - I did a search for fire wood hoarders club and surprisingly it linked me to signatures of most of the current members here - but posts in the other forum.
I think this place was on page two of a google search - -this was back in late October, now it's the top result - even after deleting cookies, bing autofills as well:thumbs:

    Agree with everyone's sentiments above.
Slowly but surely more folks will find the GFOTW(greatest forum on the web) - sometimes I wonder why more of the folks over there haven't migrated here, considering the number of threads that got locked down/vaporized.

It's nice that we are having a steady stream of new users but not so much to make it a headache to keep up with things (for me and @Scotty Overkill especially as we continue to make all the upgrades to the forums.

Yes, I used similar methods. I forget the phrase but it was a quick hit.

90% of my 'web time' is spent here. Even though I don't have CAD and my saws are bone stock, I still enjoy reading the chainsaw forums and reading what can be done to make a saw better. The folks here that used to be there made me realize that seasoned wood makes life much easier come cold weather. Before that, I only knew what I learned growing up - cut in September for burning that season.

I burn wood, which covers maybe a third of my heating needs. The rest comes from pellets due to the convenience of it when I'm away from home. The members in the pellet section helped me immensely 'over there' as I tried to figure out how to get the most of the stoves. More than once I was tempted to drag the thing out in the yard and leave it.

My wood stacks look like complete chit compared to what I see on here, but the pics are slowly inspiring me to make mine better.

Keep up the great job all.
