Saw this on the local media yesterday. I was amused by the pic as according to the weather analyst it was -30* with 65 mph winds when the photo was taken if memory serves me correctly and the pasta froze in something like 45 seconds.

I hiked to the top of the rock pile as it is referred to locally one day with the wife. Started out as a beautiful early fall day and by the time we got to the summit it was pouring rain with a few heavy snowflakes for good measure. Weather changes up there very quickly.

This should bring out the snowmobiles along with a ton of plows.

The chart keeps changing, less snow each day, that will be fine with us. You can still head out for milk and bread.

This winter must have you busy, sales must be good.

This Wednesday we have a forecast high of 35, on Thursday night we have a forecast low of - 24 to - 26, that's a huge swing.

Sales are good. Got a text tonight from a first timer from November. Wants another half cord. Another order for bundles came in! Bringing some to a friend this week too.
Sold 2.5 cords and 130 bundles last week! December and January are usually my best months.

You sure are lucky at times seeing how they lay. Wouldn't it be nice if all the logs were off the ground?!

We didn't get hit hard by the Nor'easter, just over six inches so far with maybe another two tonight.

I plowed three driveways (ours included) one of the neighbors wanted to pay me but I told her food was acceptable, how about homemade bread, thanks but I'm staying away from bread, I brought up an old story about helping a neighbor with plowing in Massena and we settled on a apple pie so that's what we're getting.

buZZsaw BRAD , later this Winter may be a good time for education of your regular customers, about getting wood in the off season to dry, and the three year plan philosophy.
This is kinda like people not thinking about having their boat serviced until Memorial Weekend.

We received another six inches of snow overnight , I went in town to pick up more pellets before this next cold stretch so I started my plowing later than usual. After doing some of our driveway when I came home, I did a neighbors driveway down the road, after that was done I headed down to another neighbor who I help out but they had it done but I decided that a few piles needed moving so they would have more room but after I started and I was backing up, I could see a person waving at me for help.

This persons friend had fallen at a local place, a younger person helped the person up to their car and they came back to the house where I was, I helped carry the person inside and they call the rescue squad. I hopped on the tractor and finished making more room if they needed it. You could tell when they went into the house that the sidewalk even though it was clear needed widening so I grabbed a shovel and did that. A lady who came in the ambulance was going to drive the EMTs truck to the hospital or the squad building since he was in the ambulance but was stuck in the EMTs truck so a small chain from the homeowner and I pulled her out nice & slow with the 4540.

I won't put the persons name up but they have a broken hip, if you can say a prayer for a friend that would help. Today was one day it was better to be late.
