Bottom fell out last night sometime...

Went to bed about 1o PM and the outside thermometer was at 28. Got up at 7 AM and it was at 3. Oops, got a bit frigid over night and as usual, it's a bit windy too. Stove is barely accepting the heat load and the central furnace has been cycling a bit (once per hour sucking up that expensive propane). Long range forecast says cold is here to stay for a while. I'm good with that, have plenty of corn and pellets and plenty of propane too.

My issue is the RH. The humidifier ran out of water last night and my RH is well below 5o% right now. Need to get it back up to 50% today and I need to keep a closer eye on the humidifier tanks too.

Guy across the road, his Duramax won't pop. Should have plugged it in. Oh well. I keep my Powerstroke hot lined all the time in the winter and on a battery tender as well.

 

Yep quite the temp drop here in the NE. But my ol dmax fired right up at 12°. Honestly I've never had a problem with it, even in the rare single digits we had here the last few winters. Although I did plug it in when it hit the negatives two winters ago.

 

I don't drive my Powerstroke much in the winter. It's really a farm and camper truck so it 'sleeps' all winter as a a rule. I suspect the guy across the road needs new batteries. He's not much on taking care of his vehicles. I chuckle to myself about him. Always buys black vehicles and we live on a dirt road. Black is not the color for a dirt road in my view. All the vehicles we own are either white or silver. I will have to get it out first of the month and go pick up my new round bailer.

Up to 20 now. Feels tropic.
