Those are nice fat ones. I have some much thinner, plain/unadorned ones stashed out in the garage and they are quite heavy.

I put the trail cam out on the deck tonight as it is supposed to be a low of teens only. The fox has visited the last two nights but it was too cod for the camera.

Some beef scraps are out there to tempt him to show up one more night! :ithappened:

Hope the pics aren't blurry.

Nice thought, I'm not sure a single instance will just do them in. Probably need at least several days of that type of weather. Maybe not - I'm no entymologist

Low this morning was -2*, and has risen to 5* - supposed to be warmer today than yesterday's 10*.

My steam radiator system is from the past also lukem. Yesterday after hearing it banging unbearably for a few days, I decided to investigate and found it waterlogged. Not sure how that happened as it has a manual valve to top it off only. And I’m the only one that does it. I drained 50 gallons of hot water a gallon at a time to get the system back in its operation zone. Working good and quiet this morning so we will see.

This bit of cold snap (1 degree now) has us getting into the good stuff. Wife being home last few days from work and the 8 month old granddaughter here during the day has me keeping the Lopi running hard.

Didn’t even light the shop stove yesterday. Stayed inside except for chores that had to get done.

I know that feeling. My head has been pounding for the last couple months and I’m either plugged solid or draining profusely constantly. This year has got to be the worst in a loooong time.

I am sure it is just natural progression. The little buggers breed and produce more hungry buggers and they move on. I do not think all the rules did a thing to stop or even slow things down. Especially when firewood had one rule and timber another.
