Yikes! It seems every single day, I notice more evidence of scary inflation! Hmmm... my 25" Rollomatic ES might work out ok, lol. But, we could also say "In the long run, that high price doesn't matter!" The lighter weight would be nice. Yet, I don't recall the Stihl Light costing THAT much! Thanks for the info.

Yeah, I did. Probably just me but my 2 old echo 8000's oil like the Exxon Valdez so I'm a bit spoiled.

I picked up the same 25" light bar for my 362 just about a year ago and paid $139 for it then. Pandemic price proliferation for prodigious profits is making me postal... I'm looking at the 24" TsuMura light bar for my husky and it is under $100. I didn't realize it at the time, but I think the 25" Stihl light and the 24" TsuMura light have the same drive link count on the Stihl mount. I know the 24" bar I'm looking at on the Husky mount has the same drive link count as my 25" Stihl set up. If I would have know that back then I would have gotten a TsuMura to save a little coin.

I'm still learning and getting this chainsaw stuff all figured out with help from y'all.

Inflation and the only dealer within 25 miles that had them in stock I'm sure that brought the price up a few $. But it's like the gambler that knows the the game is rigged but plays any way because "it's the only game in town".

I'm all about the light bars these days. As the years fly by the back gets weaker and the shoulders get sorer. I'm always looking for an easier way... (that I can afford)...

Did you punch the pin in on the oiler?

    Disregard.

I could have sworn I did but I'm going to go take a look later. Hopefully I didn't that would be great if so.

Did you try thinning the bar oil a bit with ATF? It's bright red & will show what the oiler is really doing.

No I haven't tried any thinning yet but I haven't used it in the cold either. I'm just used to seeing a wetish chain. My 880 i feel is stingy to. ATF to thin is a great idea, thanks Adam.
