I don't but I just went to their website and now I'm interested. Do you have any suggestions? Either Jazz, Blues, Folk or Americana Rock?

Their recordings will definitely impress you, I’m sure of it. I have these 2 and a best of mapleshade. Maybe one or both of those would be a good starting point.

I could link you to a video but the quality isn’t reflective of what you would hear in uncompressed form. Very strong presence. Close your eyes and I can easily imagine being in the room with the musicians.

I'll give one of these a try and maybe the other, but I want to look through the catalog first. I read a bit about them on the website. Interesting business.

This is what I meant as a starting point. BEST OF MAPLESHADE VOL.2: 13 Shades Of Blue-10032
I must have let my dad borrow it as I can't find it in my collection. If you click there, you can listen to samples of songs.

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout right there. I love these "sampler" albums. All the record companies used to put them out for cheap, so they could introduce all the great names of the sixties. I have a few of them on CD for jazz too. Got me hooked on folks I might never of heard of any other way.

I think I'll go for this one and then also that Jazz one too.

This is a personal favorite of mine. Laura Nyro never got the recognition she deserved as there were just so many fabulous female singer/songwriters in the late sixties. But this woman was every bit as much as Joni Mitchell, or Carol King. I play it every Christmas. Laura Nyro - Christmas and the Beads of Sweat. First heard on WBCN 1969 104.1 on the FM dial. Boston Massachusetts. That's when I bought the album and I've still got it.

    Happy New Year you guys

You and I aren’t too far apart, really. I wish winter would stick around a bit, rather than a couple days here and there. It’s 46 here now and won’t fall to burning temperatures again until Monday :headbang:

I sometimes, stop down to Bristol to the Harley Dealer. They participate in the HD New England Tour. Which is a tour of about 27 dealers, you get a stamp at each one. From Stamford CT up to Caribou ME, Cape Cod, upstate NY etc. If you get them all you're in a raffle. Winner gets a new HD Touring model. I also had a close friend in Burlington CT who just moved down to Myrtle Beach a year or so ago.

Beautiful area of CT. Crazy weather, but this isn't the first time I've seen no snow in January. It happens.
