In the early 90’s I was working on a 6 month stint in Mandan, just west of Bismarck. The plant I was at had temperature and time sign a the front office. It was 104F almost everyday in the summer it was sunny it seemed.
Job got shut down in late September due to a blizzard.

edit: went back to refresh my memory, it was end of October and it was -10F.

2014 or 2015 I had a difference between inside temp and outside temp of like 120*. I don't care to ever see -37* again...

I'm about a 2 hour drive north east of Bismarck. One thing all the out of state people that have come to work here talk about is how extreme and fast to change the weather is here.

Back in the later 90s we had a 70 degree drop one spring day. Temp hit 80something during the day and the wind came up and temp fell off a cliff in the late afternoon down into the teens. Never seen anything like that before or since, some weird kind of front came through in the early spring.
