Our daughter had a college friend visit her Monday. She left that night, about 11:00 our daughter called me. Her friend missed her turn, then her GPS took her down this road... Our tractor and chains were about 20 miles away at a log loading site. Got a friend with 4x4 truck to get her out...
Wife’s friend totaled a Prius following gps down an unmaintained road. Tore the battery right out from underneath.
She has graduated, and is a teacher at a charter/magnet school. She has plenty of book smarts, teaches math, physics to 4 different grades. She did an internship at Oak Ridge Nuclear Laboratory in Tenn. Common sense...... In her defense though, she grew up on a red clay road with a different car...so I understand why she thought she could make it...
A right angle gear box for a spreader....and no I'm not going to warranty it the guy ran into it with his skid steer
Sounds like his insurance should cover it then. He will need to file a police report so his spreader can file a claim against his skid steer unless his spreader was not on an approved spreader parking spot on his property. He can use the proceeds from his spreader claim to pay the increased insurance premium on his skid steer unless the cops determine that it’s no fault of either in which case he will have to pay the deductible on both as well as increased premiums on both. I’m sure the insurance company will cut you a check for the repairs pretty quickly as they are always on the up and up.
Yea my thoughts also. Just how far down "this road" did the gps take her till she knew there was a problem??
Typical trailer tire. My first guess is it was under-inflated, Tire weight rating most likely at or near max weight. And/or more than 5 years old.
