I had promised the wife that on Christmas Day, I would bake this gnocchi dish, two pounds of gnocchi, a few meatballs from the three pounds of meatballs the wife made Thursday, three different cheeses and the spaghetti sauce I made a few days ago, the wife loved it so all is well.

I guess tomorrow will be the first day I start working this off, more dead pine will come down.

    This was my work today.

ust some pictures of the four dead pine that I felled today and a few pictures of the deer eating something on the hill in the back. Most of the rounds were split and brought over to the fireplace for a nice hot fire and some cleanup up on the knoll from the last pine.

All the pine from yesterdays work is gone, it was a nice hot fire. In picture 2703, I can see the word HEY in the pine split.

Up here they won't burn pine in their house but in the garage is fine. Our town wood dump is full of good pine at times, the majority of people who burn firewood in their homes will only burn hardwood.

The clearing of some smaller dead pine continued today, everything is over by the outside fireplace, hopefully tomorrow I'll have a fire.

I did take the plow off the 4540 and put the forks on so I could get one log up off the ground, c & s and brought over to the fireplace. Since I had the forks on, I brought two more logs over near the fireplace so I can c & s and then burn them.

All the smaller pine that are down in the first four pictures will make two or three new trails in this area I'm working.

It sure is buZZsaw BRAD , the lack of snow has helped out the deer along with two windstorms that put some tops on the ground for them to eat. They're still finding some green stuff underneath the snow they're eating.

We have some Maples around the house that have some rot in them and some mushrooms growing on them so I'll get them on the ground for some food, I'll set the trail cam up for the night when I do it.

I haven't seen any deer around our place since the beginning of hunting season the weekend before Thanksgiving. Since we now have some snow on the ground, I see we still have deer around. Tracks all over the lawn. They are still nocturnal.

The pine reduction continues, I had brought the two logs over near the fireplace yesterday and today I cut, split and then burned it along with another two loads of junk pine I brought over today.
