How is your weather? As for the northern part of Dakotah Territory, we are definitely experiencing winter. Snow is shutting the state down, another round is predicted for Tuesday and following that the weather man said expect some -30° temperatures. Screenshot_20211226-221837_Samsung Internet~2.jpg

Warm...unusually warm. I think we've only had one night go down below 20...and even that was just barely...very little freezing weather so far.

No travel advised, snow amounts ??? it is tough to tell with the 30 mph wind. Bare spot on one side of the house and 4 foot drift on the other. Called in to work to be sure I needed to go in and it is business as usual and if you don't come in you forgo your holiday pay. So I got to work and am now twiddling my thumbs because other people aren't coming in and I'm just waiting to get pulled to a different department to get/keep things running.

I find this really strange. We are having a real winter for this week and back east everyone else seems to be having our usual green weather for this time of year. Greenstick seems to be the first to be talking about a real winter for this time of year.

Sounds like an easy work day, so far. Those kinds of days can go by slowly, however.

We got 2-3 inches of the white stuff last night along with a lot of wind. Snow was really heavy and wet but I did get the driveway cleared off and a path to the wood shed cleared. Supposed to get cold within the next 24 hours and I didn't want a couple inches of frozen hard snow.

Yup, went as I anticipated at work. There for 1 1/2 hours, moved to another department for an hour, then I was needed in yet another department and ran it for 5 hours, then finally they decided to close up shop til tomorrow. Then got home and moved snow for 4 hours. I'm beat. Guessing probably at least 10 inches of snow and 40 mph gusts left some really fun 4 foot drifts to battle.

You may not have seen what I posted a short time ago but we have areas in MI who have received 5-7 feet of snow already.

We've had a warm period recently. Yesterday was 70 degrees and sunny. The daffodils are sprouting.

Thought it was nippy last night when I went to plug in the pickup. According to this map I was at -38° wind chill there in East Central Dakotah Territory. They are talking Saturday we are to be down to -28° air temperature and we will see how much wind we have with that.:shiver:
