Forgive me, for i have sinned

I let the fire go out,
on Christmas.
And turned the oil furnace on.


But, in my defense it was 57° and raining. And the house was still 70 at bed time, and, i didn't feel like fighting a down draft from the rain and take a chance of getting smoke in the house.

 

It was 60 degrees here yesterday, but I still kept two logs burning in the stove for ambiance; but I did open some windows

 

I have not loaded the stove since Thur. night. May get it going today. 60 on Friday and the wife baked all day and Christmas was almost 60 and I was cooking the feast. Could have started back up last night but just let the NG boiler do the work.

 

55 here yesterday just kept it going enough for coals to make it easier to light up for the night just in the shop furnace it keeps the dampness out of the store JB

 

No confession necessary. Thats not even close to being a chargable transgression. (see what I did there? )

I'll bet there were a lot of burners that didn't have a fire with those temps.

 

TurboDiesel don't feel too bad cause I let the fire go out Friday evening. We did leave home early Saturday and got home around 11:30 today. We celebrated Christmas with one of our sons up by Minneapolis. Got a fire going again when we got home.

 

Whew. Here I thought maybe you bought another Dodge

Yeah, I am lighting one fire a day and also just letting it go out. It is not yet that cold here so hard to throttle the stove down enough plus fuel oil is reasonable and that pesky thermostat on the wall does work pretty well.....

 

I've had to restart the fire 4 times in the past 2 weeks. It's been so mild here I accidentally got it 78 degrees inside. @ that point I just let it go out.

I'm a little short on good (high btu) wood right now. And Miss July is trying her best to burn it all up before the real cold moves in...
So I'd rather use some of my 4 year old (cheap) HHO than primo wood.

 

What? The old chivvy need some more injectors?..Or did the whole dash go black?...

Incredibly. My boys may never be able to have a brand new truck like I could 20 years ago. A 3/4 ton crew cab diesel is now the same price as my first new home mortgage

 

Agree on the price of new trucks...but I buy pretty low option trucks, surround cameras, lane change cameras, heated seats, heated steering wheel, 16 speaker stereo! I just want and need a trick that can pull my trailer! If you can afford a 90k truck and want to spend that much, I will not judge!
