Good morning, brother. Today sounds relaxing as well.

 

Good morning. We have a fun day celebrating my father-in-law’s 90th birthday starting at their church service, Vikings game at noon, and the party going on into the night. He is still really active and sharp.

53° outside, 68° inside, never built a fire last night.
Miz Carol got me 2 more CBN wheels for the chain grinder and a rechargeable headlamp......

Good morning everyone! My diet got thrown out the window last night, my SIL cooked an excellent porchetta, an herb- stuffed, rolled-up pork belly. We came home with leftovers, too!
Everything outside is covered with ice. I heard the plow go by, it sounded crunchy.
Thank heaven the Y is open today!
Happy back to normal day!

 

How much snow do you have? Ours has melted.

We were able to celebrate for a short while on Christmas Eve with my oldest boy, his wife and my oldest grandson Leo.

We ate with them, they opened our gifts and then we went to candlelight service together.

Leo was really good all night, even lasted through the service until the final song. Then this happened. Just too much for a little tyke.



Sharing the day with him and teaching him a simple prayer was the best gift I could've asked for!

Yesterday was a quiet day, unwrapped few small gifts we gave each other which was nice.


Enjoy this wonderful day we've been given!

 

I got to feeling fidgety. Not a great day for a walk. So, I went outside and bashed some ash chunks.

To the right of the x27, is what I added today.


There's still an amount left.


The ash splits are stacked there temporarily until I have an empty rack to fill.

 

Morning All. The arctic front has arrived. Snowing this morning and -7C/19F. We never have snow last this long or be this cold. Shadow doesn't stay outside very long. campinspecter is running the boiler daily through this. Nice to have a warm house. We had Christmas meal with Mom, our daughter and SIL last night. Her house was toasty warm with the fruits of campinspecter's firewood gathering.

Chores, bookkeeping, a ride in the snow and football to watch today.

The birthday party was a great tribute to a great man and a true American Hero. US Air Force Colonel and high decorated Vietnam combat veteran and Purple Heart recipient… my wife’s father. He flew with the Green Hornets as a gunship pilot covering US special forces teams in Cambodia. Although he is ever humble, we are very proud of him and his dedicated service to our country. He would say most importantly he is a man of faith in Jesus.
