I used to be in machine repair. Had to work most holidays. Usually only had Christmas and Thanksgiving off. Worked all the rest. It was a drag fir sure.
If you really want your skin to crawl from too much caffeine find a Cuban coffee shop. I think it is basically cocaine and brown water.
Both chain gauges were .50, I don't know if there's an inch of space on that tensioner. Husqvarna 460. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
And you are working on Christmas? I had several years working fast food that the only days off I had were Thanksgiving and Christmas. That was way back in the early 80's, in KS, when absolutely nothing was open during those holidays and only essential services were worked (first responders, prison guards). I worked two full time jobs, one I had Fridays off and the other I had Sundays off - so I literally had 2 days a year off.
One of my trips back to KS my BIL took me to a st*arbucks. He orders . . . something. I just looked at the menu all lost and said I wanted a medium coffee. First they corrected me that it wasn't a medium but a "whatever they call it". When asked what I wanted in it, I said "cream". One of the few universals and they had it on a bar in the lobby - they couldn't put it in for me. Flavorings and other things they could put in, but not just plain cream? I don't get it.
Christmas presents to myself - some decorations for the "windows" between the livingroom and stairway. They are nearly 10" long, without the chains.
Woke up to a half inch of the white stuff. I guess we are getting the white Christmas we were told we wouldn’t get.
wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. This year, we have a small covering of snow, crusting of ice, and very cold. We will celebrate Christmas this evening with our family gathering at my son's home. Here is a picture of me, taken 7 yrs. ago
Horkn 's bird brine is cooling on the stove, and in a bit I need to suffer through getting my daughter out of the house for a few hours when I would rather be on the couch. Apparently, in my mad dash to put up all the firewood last weekend, I aggravated the disk in my lower back. I was able to fend off a full on flare up all week, but it got me yesterday when I kneeled down to tend to the stove. Went to the chiropractor for an adjustment, because it was way out of whack, but I'm still pretty sore. Always when you have the most to do! This is why I usually try to limit moving firewood to small amounts at a time these days. Oh well. I drove wreckers part time, or full time from 16-32. When I was driving the big trucks, I could usually guarantee Christmas would be quiet if I was on call, but otherwise, I worked most of the holidays for years. Before I met my wife, I would usually volunteer to work Christmas to let the guys who had families not have to deal with it. It took many years for it to feel normal to have ALL the holidays off.
Thanks for the heads up. I certainly don't need that. If for some reason I need a jolt, any of these mid grade coffees like I tried yesterday would certainly do the trick.
Lol. I like whiskey. Bourbon, even scotch. I pretty much always have a bottle of oak aged 10+ yr Dewar's in my house for sipping. Another one I really like is a good anejo tequila. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well, Dave!
Glad to see you are still brining Fur Thanksgiving we used an apple juice based brine. I loved it, but my wife wasn't a fan.
