I don't think we will have to wait much longer for the cold to make us burn more wood. Then you need to give us another report on the IS.
It does make a distinct clatter but it’s quieter than the ceiling fan on its highest setting. Without some sort of circulation you can feel a definite temperature gradient (warm up high and colder at your feet). The eco fans that I ran before this never really seemed to make a noticeable difference. With this fan I can actually feel the difference it makes. The temperature in our living room is more even. It’s doing real useable work.
Thanks! Without your unwavering championing of Woodstock, and seeing/feeling your stove in action, I never would have been able to justify spending the money on this stove. So thank you my brother! Tom really should hire you as the official Woodstock spokesperson!
That would be supper gooder! I know some fhc brothers and sisters who would gladly help with the install if given enough time to plan!
If I had my druthers, I’d cut in a piece of ceramic glass so as to end the “wondering” part as you’ve so aptly quipped before, but Mrs. VW Fire Flake is about as gentle loading the stove as you are short… not very.
