I couldn't pass up the rib roast sale so i grabbed a 12lber and cut some 2" thick ribeyes from it. It's only choice but i can't complain at $4.79lb. The coupon knocked $77 off! Cut a small rack of ribs from it too .

Butcher told me that with rib roasts, difference between choice and prime isnt that big. Good score there !!!

If sirloin roast it makes a much bigger difference, and you want prime.

Yea it's not a huge difference. Usually prime has a bit more marbling but these aren't bad. I just wish they weren't limit 1 per customer :(.

I hit the sales hard and heavy after the 1st of the year. Usually %50 off, and I do the same thing, cut them into steaks and vacuum seal them.

Couldn’t do this one on the grill or smoker and had to use the oven. Detroit style pizza in a legit steel pan that I just got.

This one cooked a little fast on me. Threw it on at 10pm @200° and woke up at 4am to check the temp. It was already at 172° :hair:. I wrapped it in butcher paper to try and keep some moisture in it and eventually pulled it off at 9am when it temped 203°. Wrapped it in a blanket and into the cooler it went till noon. The bottom burnt up a bit but it still had great jiggle and cut like butta.
