Had a little snow in VT yesterday and I still had some wood to move to the lower stacks. ATV did well! Took it really slow on the bridge over the stream because that’s actually an inclined bridge. I think I ended up with 6 trailer loads. Enjoyed being outside for awhile too.

Maybe you should cut an old rug or carpet to cover that seat when you are off it? Better than getting a wet bottom when it is cold.

Always peaceful making firewood in the snow. Messy sometimes, but peaceful.
How much did you end up getting there? Some very light rain here and thats it.

Good call on the seat! I ended up standing when riding.

Brad, maybe an inch or two? We are back up now and it’s almost frozen solid from the freeze thaw and a little rain and freezing rain.

Can this be a public thread?
A lot of us will be doing this all winter.
While it wasn't snowing today, I moved our 2nd load of firewood up to the house today.

This is a box of oak, not our usual wood, but it was some uglies from logging a neighboring parcel. I know the guy that cut it and he offered it to me, even loaded it.
It was c/s/s into this box 9/19. It should be ready.

We got that snow today. I usually only move firewood in the white stuff if I have to. Not so much fun but it needs done sometimes.

I do a lot of hauling wood in the snow, now all with a 4wd ATV. I've used snowmobiles in the past, but with as little use as snowmobiles get, and the all year round ATV use, I just use those. When there's a heavy frost   I'll use the agrifab trailer. When there's more than about 2-3" I use the jet sled with the rigid hitch.

Here's why you must have a rigid hitch on a jet sled... IMG_20160123_142858618.jpg
