Got all the Ash mess cleaned up, no I didn’t- the wife did. She even rakes the area for landowner. Sure love her !
anyhow. Felled the small oak he wanted out and realized my log lift off the trailer today!! I am super bummed. Neighbor saw it In a ditch but won’t fit in his car and gone by the time I got there. Gonna make a sign and hope for an honest person to call. Got most of it loaded the old fashioned way still. Here are photos of oak and final tally for the weekend. The splitting starts when the splitting pain in me back subsides! Hope everyone had a good weekend, back to the salt mines tomorrow. Nice productive weekend, but that's a real bummer about your crane. :( I hope it gets back to you.

Yeah me too.... depending on the cost to replace it I may try and make my own. We live in a good town and where it was spotted it is a nice part of the town, I am sure someone will see my sign and get it back. Fingers crossed

Wow, that's awesome. Around here that would have been long gone. My old co worker had a strap come off his trailer one time and he seen it fall off, so he stopped and was just getting ready to get out of the truck and walk back to get it when he seen a truck stop, grabbed the strap and took off.

Yeah , the guy refused a reward too. Offered him 100 bucks , which would have saved me 500-600. I juts got finished installing new winch. I bought one with a remote so I can be away when lifting. That old cable snapped and that’s why it came off the trailer , obviously was weak and I am very thankful it didn’t give out while me or a kid was operating it. Blessing in disguise I am thinking.

Like probably most on here , I really cannot stand a thief or a liar. I hate to hear that for them. We live in a pretty nice small town so I suspected someone just found it and didn’t know where to turn it in to. Of course, it is a handy little lift and most guys could find a use for it if they wanted to be dishonest

That is great news indeed! Still a lot of good folks in the world, they're often just quiet.
