I got a couple videos from today of the 372 and 088. The 046 isn't cooperating and may have slipped timing. I'll have to pull the recoil and check. It wouldn't turn over 11k no matter what the tune was.

I don't remember actually. That chain was filed about 3 months ago. I'll look tomorrow and see. It was 404 with an 8 pin. I don't have any full comp .063" chain right now to make a loop up to switch it to 3/8" and a 9 pin.

The 372 is stock. It's the one I bought on here back the first of June or so.

Is this port work only? Did you cut the base or squish band?

It came this way to me from out west. Squish is set on it but no machine work done to it. The 372 will be getting some machine work here soon.

Oh man.... the 088 fever is about to go rampant. Nice saws Mike.

I have been staring down the cylinder of my 038 wondering how to make a Dremel an acceptable porting tool. My sloppy hand and tight wallet are telling me to just put it back together stock. Please share some pics of your setup when you attack the next saw.

I've got a dremel flex shaft that I used before I got the cc specialty right able and stuff to go along with itm if I had room for a lathe I'd be all set. I'm going to tig a muffler mod on the 550 here shortly.

Yes they are. I can' believe I got along as long as I did without them.

The 046 had slipped timing when I tightened it probably challenged about 15°:headbang:

Mike, great stuff! I'm wondering how the member designed saw will come out after you port it. Perhaps a before/after porting set of videos.

I'm not a big Stihl fan but the 088 just smoked the 372!

    Great Job!

As I said about the bidding on the member designed saw, if the bidding goes over some number (I forgot the number) I am going to throw in a bar and chain which will probably be .058 and Stihl square cut chain, just for laughs!
