Greetings and salutations my FHC friends!
Sit right back and listen to the tale I am about to tell, about a magical land, with a magical source of eternal pre-cut and spit firewood, perfect for small woodstoves.

Once upon a time, in a land not too far away, high in the mountains of the legendary kingdom of West Carolina there was the discovery of untold weatlth. We all know of the hamlet of Saphire, known for its gemstones. The village of Highhampton, where the Lords and Ladies spend their summers to escape the masses.

But in these same hills was a discovery of something even more precious and beautiful... a veritiable shangri-la. An endless supply of free cut and spit firewood, perfect for small woodstoves.

Now, I know some of you our there may be skeptical, and I know I would be too, if I were you, So I present photographic proof! Mountains of free firewood, all cut and split.

Actually, in exchange for a case of beer every once and a while, I can come down to my local firewood processing guy and get the waste pieces that fall out of his tumbler.

It's not a small operation. I have been told he sold over 600 cords last winter, although the locals at the tavern may be exagerating, as they have been known to do.

The firewood he sells to the Lords and Ladies in their castles in the mountains needs to be logs of consistent sizes.

I take the scraps, which are perfect for my wood stove.

So that's my tale of me finding the mythical land of firewood shangri-la, about a mile from where I work, and how I bribed my way into the kingdom.

(and yes, I have been binge-watching Game of Thrones.)

Yeah, I have a 1986 U1300L that I managed to squeeze into a spot in the driveway. It has a camper on the back.

Nice find! All you have to do is dry it out a bit and good to go. How much did you take Smaug?

16" long, and usually about 3" in diameter. Perfect for a small woodstove.

I only took one pickup truck load, but I'll keep going back a couple of times a week after work.
I calculated that if I make 30 trips a year, that will keep me stocked up. So a couple times a week for 15 weeks.
Now I just need to make another storage area... and buy them another case of beer.

Nice truck, and nice find on the wood! Their "scraps" look like good stuff to me, you need a trailer to haul more at one time!

Now, if you find the blond with the dragons, the short one's girlfriend, or the red headed wildling, give me a hollar...

I may or may not have been watching a bit of GOT as well.....
