Big ol maple.

This was last spring, had to take a maple down to make room for a new pool. This was a chick of wood but the splitter handled it well.

 

Not familiar with that term. Thats a huge log! Im amazed you split it in horizontal mode.

I used a log lift that attaches to splitter to pick it up there. It is a lifesaver and not sure how I managed before I bought that sucker.

What kinda splitter do you have and what kinda log lift?

32 ton black diamond. Been a good one for me. The lift is a Gorillabac. I had a detailed post I think last year on it if there is a way to search that. I can also hook to receiver on truck or trailer for loading rounds to get home. Well made equipment

 

Oh sweet, I have a 25ton of their's. I'll search around for the post but is this a wire cable style lift?

It is a boom and a 2500# winch.

All kidding aside, sure is a biggin. When they get that size, I noodle!

 

I use to but if having equipment that does the work changed all that for me !
