And the getting urinated on by a tree is a Very common thing when falling in a rain forest like S.E. Ak.
Didn't think it would happen where you are.

The clouds have moved in but as of yet, nothing falling. I expect any minute and it'll begin. Latest prediction is for 18" with the locally heavier amounts clause thrown in for good measure.

The low temps have changed also....not quite as cold but still below zero. -5 is what is predicted now.

At the moment, there is no wind.

21 and 68. If the lake got calm during the overnight, we'll have some ice pics today!

Yep. Driest winter on record so far. Usually Denver would have been walloped a couple of times by now.

28 out, got some snow and it's still lightly snowing still but the wind is blowing strong probably about 20mph.

It’s 34 outside with the temperature rising overnight to above 40 by sunrise. Highs tomorrow in the mid 50s :hair: Currently burning down a pile of black birch coals with a hefty piece of hemlock, then letting the fire go out. Tomorrow I’ll be cleaning the ash from the stove and spreading it in the raised garden beds.

31 out right now, still had over a foot of coals from the maple and oak this morning, loaded it back up with 3 good sized rounds off basswood and topped with maple and oak.

Same warming trend going on here was 14 below when I got up this morning. Was 5 below when we got home from church this afternoon and it's warmer now. But I'm too stuck in the recliner to go check. Soon enuf I'll be up and at em. Fire killed white spruce in the stove.

    Later, it's 2 below ambient.
Even with the breeze blowing , it feels quite warm.
