I noticed a little while ago there was a large oak that came down in a field at work, it was a group of 3 trees, last year the first tree came down and I cut that up, got a lot of wood out of it.

Now tree 2 broke off and the boss and I were talking at the end of the day and he made a mention he seen it broke off, I asked if I could clean it up and he said have at it and as we were talking he said to take the last standing one as well and he will have the stump removed this spring so we don't have to work around it any more.

    Guessing at least 2 cords.

Got a list with 400 other things to get done... But :woodsign: o_Oo_O.

Will update when I start cutting it up! :saw:

Honestly not sure what kind of oak it is, it's not red, I was thinking pin oak last time but someone on here said it wasn't pin. So I'm not sure

Will, pin is a red oak. I'll see if I can find that thread. Knowing about where you are, it's probably red oak of some sort.

I do like the fact that you drive right up to the wood and get it cut up and loaded. Nice score.

We got a couple inches of snow the other night, but then had 45mph winds, so there isn't much in the field. So I'm hoping to get at it soon here. Just took my main saw in to be gone through and got a new full chisel skip tooth to try on my back up the 372xp.
