    Loud, and usually distorted...can normally just barely make out some of the details of the ballgame, if it's not over half volume...

    Never had a working fender mounted radio. My 2510 has a radio over the hood/behind and over the dash. It doesn't work either. Nice tractors all!!

    Tomorrow I get to drive 200 miles straight south to lovely Farmington Illinois. A 1939 Allis-Chalmers RC is coming home with me. web pic not the one I am getting:

    My brother lives near Seattle Washington and is fighting an epic 5 year battle with cancer and is about done I am afraid. He told his son (my nephew) he wanted to drive his own RC before he goes I believe the term is bucket list? Or make a wish? We had an RC and a WD45 on the farm growing up. Son the nephew bought one on Craigs List. I am getting it in my shed then my other brother will get it to Washington somehow. We haven’t figured that out yet but it has to be done soon very soon

    Ole, sorry to hear about your brother. Good job on all involved in trying to make one of his bucket wishes come true. Never drove an RC, had WD's and WD45's growing up though, hard to burn out a clutch baling hay with that oil cooled hand clutch.

    Paint runs should have cost you extra, there is more/deeper paint in them!!! :cool: It has the looks of a good using tractor then. Good for you guys, hope it all works out as planned.

    Those were OEM Equipment on a lot of machines from this era. Most restorations far exceed the standard for the factory paint.

    Extra points for restoration accuracy!

    My uncle is big into old Minneapolis tractors, has a comfort tractor in the garage that he fully restored, paint is virtually flawless
    Pretty sure they weren't cut and polished back in the day!!

    Here is a picture of my Father's 1927 McCormick Deering 15-30, running a Rowell silo filler that we use as a woodchipper. Tractor is unrestored, and still in "its work clothes" as my dad always jokes.

    aj308win Very Cool! I feel like the 15-30's are relatively rare compared to the 10-20's?

    The authentic, and perhaps original :rofl: :lol:, hood latches are phenomenal. :dex: Most of these tractors have long the engine side covers. You having one in decent condition makes an already rare/awesome machine even more so.

    ETA: Does anybody still run these old girls on kerosene?

    Thanks for the kind words! I see far more 10-20's than 15-30s in Wisconsin, for certain.I have seen a few guys at thresherees use the startup tank with gasoline, and then run kerosene while playing, and switch back to gas before shutting them down. Pretty sure they did it just for the nostalgia...

    That part was important, not just on WWI-era machines, but the International Diesels like the MD too!

    I used to help out with a running engine display as a kid at our county fair. They had a Farmall 'Regular' (running an old shingle mill), a 10-20, Mogul 8-16, and a Titan 10-20, all original and running. The Titan had a couple/few head gaskets stacked so it'd run on 50/50 Gas/Kero... :)
